Ain’t no river wide enough for this acoustic duo.
We drove an hour back out around the national park to another town, met up with our bride's father and uncle, loaded our gear into their 4WD’s and so the photographer, the celebrant and ourselves were driven across several kilometres of beach with a rising high tide, what an adventure!
Needless to say, we had arrived at the wedding location 35 minutes before the planned start time of the ceremony. With the help of some amazing guests and also some sort of crazy good luck, we were dressed, completely set up ready to perform with the sun shining upon Sandon River.
It did not rain the rest of the day and we had the best time celebrating the marriage of two beautiful people.
Up early, leftover pizza breakfast and Google maps set to Sandon River campground. We like to arrive 2 hours before you expect your guests but on this day we planned to be 3 hours early as load in was via a tinnie and a short river crossing.
When it comes to weddings we’ve learnt there is no need to stress when things don’t go as planned, because they hardly ever do!
After a morning of heavy rain, a rather risky creek crossing and some large pot holes, we reached the end of the road… 10 kms too soon. A stretch of around 100 meters of flooded road and a very large 4wd reversing from its centre had convinced us we were not getting across the river this way.
We turned back and along with the other vendors, got in touch with our groom on the other side of the river and a plan was made - the long way round.

We love adventures and travelling, and getting to do so with weddings is an absolute dream. We have been so lucky to have been booked to perform in so many different places.
So what you can expect from us is an openness to travelling, adventurous spirits that are also capable of staying calm when things don’t go to plan and of course, good tunes to wherever you decide to say ‘I do’.
Country Roads take us home
While the bulk of our weddings take place on the East Coast and Southern Highlands, we are more than willing to travel further inland.
Moz living on the farm during the week means we are always prepared to travel that extra bit further for you. So whether you need a Southern Highlands Acoustic Duo, Canberra Acoustic Duo, Riverina Acoustic Duo, Southern Tablelands Acoustic Duo, Snowy Mountains Acoustic Duo or anywhere in between, we are never far away. Some other popular inland NSW locations that we get a lot of interest for include; Mudgee, Oberon, Bathurst, Orange and Broken Hill, so if you are thinking of getting married in any of these locations make sure to reach out to us.
